Fun Fact: “We live in an old house (1928) and have done some cool things to make it our own and modernize it. We had some of the old windows replaced and I repurposed the old windows to create a decorative and functional sliding glass barn door thing for one of the rooms. I also designed and DIY-remodeled our kitchen with the help of my dad.”
Won first place in her age group at the Kalamazoo Breast Cancer 10K race.
Most proud of: “My daughter, Coco. And a cross-stitched wall hanging that reads, ‘You can only control your own reactions.’ ”
Co-founded the world’s first digital film festival (before everything was digital), toured 44 cities on six continents, lost lots of sleep.
In another (work) life: “I published two award winning culture publications, featuring contributors including the likes of David Bowie, Daft Punk, Ray Bradbury and a retired CIA Director.”

Proudest moment: “One time, in the back of the NK offices, I grew a giant zucchini that is, perhaps, my proudest accomplishment. This thing was almost 2 feet long.”

Fun fact: “I LOVE garage sales and I know most guys hate them. Less competition is good. As the lone male at many sales, I get first dibs on $5 chainsaws, Anthem stereos, Belgian-made firearms, and other things no other man is seeing while sulking in the car as his wife searches for antique red glass. Please men, stay in your car. There’s nothing to see here.”
